About Us

The Word of God

We believe the Bible to be the inspired, infallible Word of God (II Timothy 3:16). The Bible is the only God -given authority which man possesses; therefore, all doctrine, faith, hope, and all instruction for the church must be based upon, and harmonize with, the Bible. It is to be read and studied by all men everywhere, and can only be clearly understood by those who are anointed by the Holy Ghost (I John 2:27). “No prophecy of the scripture is of any private interpretation. For the prophecy came not in old time by the will of man: but holy men of God spake as they were moved by the Holy Ghost” (II Peter 1:20-21).

Repentance

Repentance is commanded by God (Acts 17:30). John the Baptist preached repentance (Matthew 3:1-2,8), Jesus proclaimed it (Matthew 4:17), and the apostles emphasized it both Jews and Greeks (Acts 2:38, 11:18). The Greek word for repentance means a change of mind, lifestyle, and purpose. Jesus emphatically stated, "Except ye repent, ye shall all likewise perish" (Luke 13:3).

The Baptism of the Holy Ghost

Jesus said you must be "born of the Spirit" in order to enter the Kingdom of God (John 3:5). Scriptural belief should be accompanied by receiving the Spirit (John 7:38-39). Paul said those without it were not the children of God (Romans 8:9). The evidence of having received the gift is speaking with tongues (Acts 2:4, 10: 46).

Water Baptism in Jesus’ Name

Baptism is more than an outward identification. It is “for the remission of sins” (Acts 2:38). Paul was instructed that baptism would “wash away” his sins (Acts 22:16). Peter said we are saved by baptism (I Peter 3:20). Jesus said you must be “born of water” to be saved (John 3:5; Mark 16:16). The scriptural formula for baptism was ALWAYS “in the name of Jesus” (Acts 2:38, 8:16, 10:48, 19:5), which is “the only name“ (Acts 4:12).

The Godhead

There is one God, who has revealed Himself as our Father, in His Son Jesus Christ, and as the Holy Spirit. Jesus Christ is God manifested in flesh. He is both God and man (Deuteronomy 6:4; Ephesians 4:4-6; Colossians 2:9; I Timothy 3:16).

Holiness

A lifestyle of holiness is commanded in scripture (Hebrews 12:14; Titus 2:11-12; I Peter 1:15-19, 2:21-23). Therefore, we wholeheartedly disapprove of our people indulging in any activities which are not conducive to good Christianity and godly living. Godly living should characterize the life of every child of the Lord, and we should live according to the pattern and example given in the Word of God. We admonish our people to refrain from worldly practices.

We believe that God loves everyone and that everyone is therefore important, and so we've striven to create an atmosphere where everyone feels welcome and comfortable to worship God with us.
